Support Worker

As a Support Worker, you will work with individuals who require assistance with personal care and tasks that enhance their independence and quality of life. Your role will involve promoting the well-being of clients, especially those with disabilities or elderly individuals, by supporting their physical and emotional needs.

Your experience should include...

Empathetic, friendly, and respectful demeanor
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience in supporting individuals with disabilities or the elderly (preferred)
First aid certification (preferred, but training is provided)

You might also have...

The ideal candidate will have:

An interest in attaining a community support worker Level 3 or above qualification. We can support you in achieving this while you work.
Experience supporting people with disabilities, mental health issues, and/or behaviors that can be challenging is desirable but not necessary.
Reliability, commitment, and passion for working with people.
A full New Zealand driver’s license.
The ability to pass an NZ police check.
Competency in using a computer, including programs such as Word, Internet Explorer, and email.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The role of Support, Childrens Worker and Childrens Core Worker involves personal cares, shfit work, sleepovers and working alternative weekends as well as supporting the person out and about in the community.

Depending on the position held, activities can be physical, and may be carried out in a variety of scenarios.
